Mrs. Mary Hagan Death Occurs at Iowa City Home
Mrs. Mary Hagan, former resident of Seventy-Six township, died Thursday at her home in Iowa City following a long illness. She had made her home in Iowa City for 30 years.
Mary Elizabeth Coady was the daughter of John and Ann Coady and was born on Oct. 10, 1864, in Seventy-Six township. Her marriage to Martin Hagan occurred on Jan. 12, 1892 at Ardon. Her husband preceded her in death.
Surviving are four sons, John A. Hagan, Detroit, Mich., Cornelius F., Detroit, Edward M. Hagan, Wood River, Neb., and Clement J. Hagan, Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Dr. J.J. Coady, Chicago; and one sister, Bryde Coady, at home; 11 grandchildren, three of whom are in the military service.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 am Monday at St. Patrick's church at Iowa City. Interment will be in the Ardon cemetery.
