Orville Essex
Burial rites were held at Manila, la., Thursday for Orville R. Essex of Rock Island, IL, a former
Muscatine resident, who died Tuesday at the Moline Public hospital following an illness of
three months, He was 35 years of age, Mr. Essex was born in Muscatine
on Aug. 13, 1907. He received his education in Muscatine, and had been a resident of Rock
Island since 1935, being employed by the Coca Cola bottling company, He was married to
Leona Lally at Manila, la. in 1938. Surviving besides his widow are his mother, Mrs. Bessie Daugherty and a stepbrother, Ray Daughterly, both of, Muscatine.
