NONA BUTLER
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Nona Mae Butler, 77, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at Lutheran Homes.

Graveside service will be January 9, 2009, at Greenwood Cemetery. Reverend Vicki Pederson will officiate the service. All family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service.

The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the family in care of Vicky Gilleland.

Nona was born on February 3, 1931, in Muscatine, the daughter of Frank and Valerie Willis Lee. She married Robert Earl Butler on October 16, 1948, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death.

She had worked at McKee Button Company and many years as a certified nurse’s aide at Lutheran Homes.

She loved cats.

Survivors include one son, Michael E. Butler and wife, Michelle, of Washington; one daughter, Vicky J. Gilleland and husband, Jack, of Muscatine; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank H. Lee of Montpelier; and three sisters, Ileta Lee of Muscatine, Jenny Kemper and husband, Lyle Robert, of Muscatine, and Darlene Doak and husband, Curtis, of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Robert H. Butler, one daughter, Janet Lynn Londrie, one brother, Robert Lee, and one sister, Lyla Truesdale.
