CHARLEY HUDSON
GRANDVIEW, Iowa - Charley Lee Hudson, 74, of Grandview, died Sunday, November 9, 2008, at Unity Hospital.

Funeral Service will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Sharon Phillips of the Jesus Mission will officiate. A honorary bearer will be Casey Hahn. Casket bearers will be Joshua Krueger, Mike Bishop Jr., Mike Bishop Sr., Tim Hahn, Rod Teal, and Chuck Campbell. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be left to the family in care of Barb Hudson.

Charley was born on August 17, 1934, in Cincinnati, Arkansas, the son of Wills and Myrtle Hudson. He married Barbara Martin on October 14, 1978, in Miami, Oklahoma.

He drove truck for over 30 years for Morgan Trucking.

He enjoyed country music.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hudson of Grandview; four sons, Billy Hudson and wife, Judy, Danny Hudson and wife, Jackie, Kalvin Hudson and wife, Lori, and George Hudson, all of Oklahoma; one step-son, David Edington and wife, Krystal, of Oregon; four step-daughters, Sally Hahn and husband, Tim, of Letts, Cindy Reifert and husband, Andy, of Grandview, Tammy Roth and husband, Steve, of Washington, and Angie Mueller and husband, Randy, of Iowa City; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters, one son, one step-son, and his mother-in-law.
