MICHIGAN, Livonia - Dorothy Arlene Kindler, 87, of Livonia, Mich., formerly of Muscatine, died Sunday, March 1, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Livonia.

There will be a memorial service at Palmer Road Baptist Church, Westland, Mich. and private burial in Muscatine at a later date.
The body is being creamted. Memorials may be made to he Palmer Road Baptist Church, Westland, Mich.

Mrs. Kindler was born June 17, 1920, in Muscatine, the daughter of Myron and Minnie Leutzinger Clark. She married Ralph Kindler on Oct. 11, 1936. While living in Muscatine, she was employed at the Automatic Button Co.

She was an active member of the Palmer Road Baptist Church, and loved helping people. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing piano and doing needle crafts.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Bernard and husband, Don of Livonia, Mich. and a son Tom Kindler and wife, Janet of Muscatine, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, a sister Vivian Bowman of Davenport and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters and a brother.
