TIPTON, Iowa -- Tracy Leon Chapman, 36, 509 Mulberry St., Tipton, died Monday, June 24, 2002, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, after a sudden illness.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. Ronald Lashmit will officiate. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery, Tipton.

Mr. Chapman was born on June 10, 1966, in Iowa City, the son of Donald Ray and Mary Louise Holub Chapman. He married Kimberly Jo Zerbe on May 20, 1995, in Tipton.

He graduated from Tipton High School in 1984.

He was employed by Universal Co-op.

He was a member of the bowling league in Tipton called the "Outlaws". He enjoyed golf and NASCAR.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Chapman of Tipton; his wife; a daughter, Jenna Chapman at home; two sisters, Teresa Jones of North Liberty and Tina Sinclair of Tipton; and two brothers, Terry Chapman of North Liberty and Tony Chapman of Tipton.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.
