MUSCATINE, Iowa - Margaret Josephine Kisner, 85, of Muscatine, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Unity Hospital.

Private family services will be held, with the Rev. Lloyd Mansfield officiating. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Kisner was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Oakville, the daughter of James Edward and Hazel Mae (Herrick) Blanchard.

She married George Kisner in Muscatine.

She worked at Thatcher Plastics for many years and was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and the Ladies of the Eagles.

She enjoyed quilting, cooking for her family and canning.

She will be deeply missed by two sons, James Kisner and his wife, Janice, of Davenport and Robert Kisner and his wife, Ann, of Muscatine; eight grandchildren, Todd Kisner, James Kisner, Brad Kisner, Julie O’Neal, Jennifer Ribbink, Jane Ribbink, Joleen Elder and Kensyl Kisner; 11 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Larry Ribbink of Muscatine; a brother, Richard “Dean” Blanchard of Muscatine; and two sisters, Irene Mowl of Muscatine and Marie Stalkfleet of Wapello.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Mary Ribbink; two sisters, Betty Strong and Myrtle Ravenscraft; and two brothers, James Blanchard and Robert Blanchard.
