GUY FISHER, 65, GOES IN DEATH; RITES TUESDAY

Guy T. Fisher, aged 65 years, a lifelong Muscatine county resident, died at 4:40 pm Sautrday at Bellevue Hospital after a six weeks illness. His home was at 211 1/2 East Second street. He had resided here for seven years, previously farming in the Cranston area.

The son of Sylvanus and Amanda Phillips Fisher, he was born in Muscatine county on March 25, 1882. He married Bertha E. Kent on May 6, 1904 at Muscatine, and following her death married Sophia Edwards here on June 20, 1942. He had served for several years as foreman of the grinding room of the McKee Button Co.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sophia Fisher, two sons, Lawrence Fisher of Caballo, N.M. and Orval K. Fisher of Muscatine; a daughter, Mrs. Henry Brauns of Muscatine and the following step children, Norton, Dwayne and Elaine Edwards of California, Curtis Edwards of Ft. Madison and Harvey and Charlene Edwards of Muscatine. Also survivng are a sister, Mrs. Robert E. Lee of Muscatine and 17 grandchildren. His parents, his first wife, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

The body is at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral home and services will be held there at 2:30 pm Tuesday. The Rev. Walter Sieck, pastor of the Musserville Methodist Church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
