MRS. SCHOEMAKER DEATH FOLLOWS EXTENDED ILLNESS

Mrs. Bessie Schoemaker, aged 75 years, lifelong resident of Muscatine, died at her home, 894 Newell avenue, at 7 am today after an extended illness with complications.

The daughter of J. Henry and Anna M. Ribbink Schreurs, she was born here July 24, 1877. Her marriage to Edwin C. Schoemaker took place on Feb. 11, 1903. She was a member of the First Baptist church.

Surviving are two sons, Gordon C. Schoemaker and E. Russell Schoemaker, and a daughter, Mrs. Harold Bollinger, all of Muscatine; also one brother, D. Sheldon Schreurs of Muscatine and nine grandchildren. Her husband, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home where it will remain for services at 2 pm Friday. The Rev. Fred G. Ferris, pastor of the First Baptist church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
