Death of Mrs. D.W. Gifford
Mrs. D.W. Gifford died at the family residence on Calhoun street Tuesday afternoon, the principal cause of her demise being an attack of bronchitis. She had been an invalid for many years.

Mrs. Gifford was born in Morgan county, Ohio, Dec. 16, 1832, and was married to Mr. Gifford in Cedar county, July 2, 1859. She came to Iowa in 1854 and has resided in or about West Liberty ever since. She leaves her husband and one son, Elmer W. of St Paul and one daughter, Mrs. Henry Polders of West Liberty.

The funeral will be held from the Christian church at 2 o'clock this afternoon, with interment at Oakridge.
