Mrs. Cora Ellen Ricketts, 71, a resident of Montpelier, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Winter, 711 West Third Street Davenport Thursday. She had been in failing health for several years.

She was born May 16, 1888, at Illinois City. The former Cora Ellen Van Winkle, she was married to Rufus Ricketts, March 3, 1908, at Muscatine. She had been a resident of Montpelier for the past six years.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Winter, Davenport, and Mrs. Sam Bloomhuff, Route 5 Muscatine; four sons, Fred and Ernest Ricketts, both of Davenport; Peter J. Ricketts of Buffalo; and Robert Ricketts at home; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport.
