ATALISSA

Atalissa, Ia., Feb. 14. - Mrs. Mary Daughney, wife of Michael Daughney, of this place, died suddenly Saturday evening, Feb. 9, at their home. She had been ailing for a day or two and her husband left her lying on the bed feeling very comfortable she told him, he was gone but a few minutes when he went in to speak to her finding her dead. He started to the nearest neighbor, James Hayes, for help when he met his son, Will Daughney, in the door, he having just come home on the late train from Bennett where he has been at work. The funeral services will be held at the Catholic church in West LIberty Wednesday. Mrs. Daughney having come to this country when a girl. She was married here to Michael Daugheny, of this place, and they have since made their home here. The devoted husband and three children survive, the latter being Mrs. Nan Fitzpatrick, of the northwestern part of Iowa; Mrs. Maggie Fry and Will, of this place. Mrs. Daugheny was a quiet home loving worman, a devoted wife and mother, a good neighbor and a staunch friend. She was a devoted member of the Catholic church.
