Funeal services for Lloyd H. Honts, 55, will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday at the Riley Funeral Home, Rev. J. Paul Stevens, pastor of the Otterbein United Methodist church will officate and burial will be in Greenwood cemetary where military rites wil be conducted jointly by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Vistation will begin this evening at 7.
Lloyd Honts, 1111 Orange St., died at 1:45 P.M. Wednesday at Muscatine General hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 15, 1916 at Winfield, Iowa, the son of Robert James and Elizabeth (Cadogan) Honts. He had spent most of his life in Muscatine.
He married Velma Noll, December 10, 1955 at Muscatine. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, served with 633 Field Artillary during World War II, and was employed for over 25 years at the John Deere Harvester plant in East Moline.
Survivors include his wife, Velma; a son Ronald at home; two daughters, Mrs. Michael Jerry (Phyllis) Hoggatt, Muscatine, Patricia, at home; a brother, Farrell Honts, Iowa City; two sisters, Mrs. George (Fern) Yocom, Muscatine; Mrs. Floyd (Hazell) Lawson, Greenrock, ILL., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
