MRS. MARTIN DAUFELDT PASSED AWAY THURSDAY

Ill at Baker Hospital, Muscatine, Iowa for the Past Six Months; Buried at Moscow

Emma Daufeldt, daughter of John and Magdalena Freese, died at the Baker Hospital, Thursday evening, December 20, 1934, following an illness of many months.

Mrs. Daufeldt was born at the homestead, north of Moscow, Iowa, April 22, 1892. She died on December 20th, aged 42 years, seven months and 28 days. On February 10, 1914 she was married to Martin M. Daufeldt. To this union seven children were born, all of whom survive; Louise, Dorothy, Eva, Grace, Harvey, Alvin and Catherine. Besides her children there also survive her husband, her father, three sisters, Mrs. Dora Moomey, Muscatine; Mrs. Mamie Reedy, Atalissa; Mrs. Minnie Kuehl, Moscow; three brothers, Hans, Tipton, Fritz, Rock Island, August, Moscow; and one half-brother, John Luethye, Wilton.

Funeral services were conducted at the Grace Reformed church Sunday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. J.M. Newgard. A quartet composed at A.T. Nelson, David Smith, A.I. Winsell and Clarence Lenker sang several selections. The pall bearers were George Duffe, Walter Duffe, Harry Duffe, Lloyd Barclay, Howard Lenker and Herman Kretschmar. Burial was in Moscow cemetery.
