GARLAND CONAWAY

Columbus Junction - Garland Conaway, 60, died at his Conesville home Friday night.

Funeral services will be at 4 pm today at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Faris will officiate. Burial will be in the Conesville Cemetery.

Mr. Conaway was born Jan 23, 1924, at Nichols, a son of Robert and Ima Lauderdale Conaway. He married Darlene Maxwell, Sept. 28, 1958. He was a meat cutter at Rath Packing Company. He was a member of Local Union 431 and an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Robert Conaway, Ronald Conaway and Denny Conaway, all of Conesville; four grandchildren; four brothers, Kenneth Conaway, Darrel Conaway, and William Conaway, all of Conesville; and Robert Eugene Conaway, Muscatine; two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Ima Mae) Forbes, San Diego; and Mrs. Resugio (Dorothy) Villagrana, Conesville.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
