LINDA STAATS

West Liberty - Linda Kay Staats, 53, of 1623 Kelly Ave., West Liberty, died Saturday, May 11, 1996, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Services will be at 11 am Tuesday at Wesley United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Douglas P.
Harding officiating. Ann Olson and T. Wade Rogers will provide musical srlections.

Honorary pallbearers are John Baker, Everett Ulch, Alan Staats, Scott Phelps, Brian Wolfe Jr., Fritz Wolfe, Craig Axel, Monty Wagner, Marvin Hamilton, Willie Wolfe and Harley Hamilton. Burial will be at the Conesville Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 pm today at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, where a memorial has been established for the family.

She was born Dec. 4, 1942, in Morning Sun to Roy Ellis and Charlotte McMurray Wells. She was reared by her mother and step-father, Donald Hamilton.

On June 29, 1984, she married Richard L. Staats at Muscatine.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was employed as the lead line person at the Geneva Plant of HON Co.

Survivors include her husband Richard at home, sons Douglas Earl Reed of Farley and Ted Everett Reed of Columbus Junction; daughters, Dianna Maeglin of Muscatine and Shelly Reed of Columbus Junction; five stepchildren, Allan, Troy and Rick Staats.
