WILLIAM EISELE
MUSCATINE, Iowa - William J. Eisele, 74, of Muscatine, died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at Unity Hospital.

Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis Meador of the Open Door Baptist Church will officiate. Casketbearers will be David Krogman, Rick Thomas, Bill Krogman, Steven Coulter, Adam Coulter, Adam Estell, Matt Peterson, Brad Gosset, Cory Nelson and Cody Nelson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites provided by the combined squads of the American Legion Post 27, and the V.F.W. Post 1565. After the committal service, family and friends will gather at the Open Door Baptist Church in Montpelier.

Visitation will be at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Open Door Baptist Church.

He was born on April 9, 1930, in Fairport, the son of William and Florence Snider Eisele. He married Molly Schroeder on June 23, 1951, in Muscatine.

He worked for Huttig’s for five years before going into the US Army. He served in Korea and was honorably discharged after a year and one half of service.

After serving in the Army, William went to work for Linwood Stone and retired in 1995 after 32 years of service. He later went to work for Grishem Industries retiring from there in 2002.

William was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church for 32 years.

He loved car’s and working on them. He was a master of all trades. He loved and was very proud of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Molly Eisele of Muscatine; six daughters, Sue Krogman and husband, Dave, of Muscatine, Pam Coulter and husband, Steve, of Muscatine, Vickie Peterson and husband, Rick, of Muscatine, Karen Nelson and husband, Greg, of Muscatine, Peggy Estell and husband, Mike, of Montpelier, and Wendy Stephens and husband, Brad, of Letts; 39 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd Carter of Blue Grass, Bob Carter of Montpelier, and Leonard Carter of New Mexico; and six sisters, Ann Wiekert of Muscatine, Rose Davis of Moravia, Jo Ann Phillips and Linda Bradley, both of Fairport, Sandy Shaw of Illinois, and Donna.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
