GEORGE KILE, 74, CALLED IN DEATH

Longtime County Resident Succumbs After Stroke; Funeral Rites Friday.

George A. Kile, 74, lontime resident of Muscatine County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.H. Schumacher, 308 Busch, with whom he had been making his home at 11:30 pm Tuesday. He was ill but one day, a stroke of paralysis proving fatal.

Mr. Kile was born June 15, 1861 near Nichols. He married Dora Lincoln, Sept. 1, 1898 and her death occurred in 1899. Mr. Kile, who engaged in farming many years, retired 15 years ago and has since resided here.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Merle Schumacher, two grandchildren, Phyllis and Jean Schumacher, one brother, Louis Kile of Nichols, three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Kaiser of Danube, Minn,; Mrs. Callie Range of Milford, Ia,; and Mrs. Linnie Burkart of West Liberty.

The body was removed from the ??-Hoffman Funeral home to the Schumacher residence at 2 pm today. Funeral rites will be held from the home at 2 pm Friday, conducted by the Rev. Leland Lesher of the Grace English Lutheran church.

Burial will be made in the Nichols Cemetery.

GEORGE KILE RITES CONDUCTED AT HOME

Funeral services for George A. Kile were conducted from the home at 308 Busch street at 2 pm Friday by the Rev. Leland Lesher, pastor of the Grace English Lutheran church.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Kile, Oliver Meisky, George Kile, Jesse James, Clayton and Ed James. Singers were Mrs. Emil Schultz and Mrs. Leland Lesher, with Charles Richard as accompianist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Floyd Downey, Mrs. Ed Hank, Mrs. Nettie Quandt and Mrs. John Schaefer.

Burial was in the Nichols Cemetery.
