John William Chown died at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at his home, 1115 Oak street. He had been sick only since Saturday. Mr. Chown was employed at Bond’s restaurant and worked there on Friday night. On Saturday he was taken with la grippe and he grew rapidly worse.
Mr. Chown was in his thirty-first year. He is survived by his wife and one daughter. The body will be taken this evening to his former home at Nichols, where the funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Methodist Episcopal church.
