JAMES HONTS

James Francis "Frannie" Honts, Sr., 65, was dead on arrival at Muscatine General Hospital at 9:10 pm Monday. His home had been on Rt. 2.

He was born Feb. 5, 1909, at Muscatine, the son of Francis E. and Catherine Riegel Honts, and had been a life resident of Muscatine.

He was a member of the Moose lodge and a veteran of WWII.

Survivors include three sons, Charles F. Honts, of Deltona, Fla., James F. Honts Jr., Muscatine, and Gregory Paul Honts, Muscatine; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Patty) Miller, Cedar Falls; his mother, Mrs. Catherine Honts, Muscatine; and one sister, Mrs. Edna Greene, Muscatine.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Friday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home. Interment will be at Greenwood cemetery where military rites will be held.

Visitation will begin after 2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
