F.E. HONTS, 74, GOES IN DEATH; SERVICES FRIDAY

Services are planned at 2 pm Friday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home for Francis Edgar Honts, 74, who died at 4 pm Tuesday at his home, 509 East Tenth street, following an extended illness. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.

Mr. Honts was born Nov. 18, 1882, at Columbus City, the son of James and Alverda Trader Honts. He had been a resident of Muscatine for 50 years, coming here from Nichols. His marriage to Catherine Riegel took place here on Oct. 14, 1907. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and the Elks Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, J. Francis and Everett Honts, one daughter, Mrs. Edna Greene, and one brother, Jesse F. Honts, all of Muscatine. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two daughters, six brothers, one sister and one great grandchild.
