THEODORE HONTS
Funeral servicers for Theodore Honts, resident of Muscatine for the last eighteen years, who died at 8:15 o'clock last evening at the home of a sister, Mrs. Eugene Metzger of Winfield, will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the United Brethren Church. Burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery. Death was due to ulcers of the stomach.
Mr. Honts was born Aug 27, 1880, in Louisa county. About twenty years ago he married Miss Pearl Mulligan, to which union two children were born. Both survive. Two years later the couple came to Muscatine. His wife preceded him in death twelve years. Recently Mr. Honts went to Winfield and shucked corn until three weeks ago when he was taken ill.
He is survived by two children, Elmer and Elizabeth Honts, both of this city: a sister at Winfield, and six brothers, Bert Honts of Wisconsin, Robert Honts of Winfield, George Honts of Conesville, Frank, Jesse and David Honts of Muscatine.
The remains were brought here this afternoon.
