Services for Dawane Jarl Peterson, 44, Stanton, were Tuesday afternoon at Mamrelund Lutheran Church, Stanton, with the Rev. David Aanonsen officiating. Burial was in Mamre Cemetery with Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He died May 26 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital following an illness of one year. Born April 26, 1941, in Red Oak, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Peterson. He married Carolyn Hultquist in Stanton Jan. 22, 1972, and had lived all of his life in the Stanton community. He had farmed for 26 years and was a member of the Stanton Cooperative Board of Directors, Nishna Valley Flying Club and Mamrelund Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Diana and Jennifer, both of Stanton; brother, Lorin of Stanton, sister, Kristine Butler of Oskaloosa.
