Stanton World War Veteran Is Dead; Members of the Ernie Johnson Post of American Legion Were Pallbearers; Only 43 Years of Age
Stanton, June 21 – Funeral services for Arnoth Lantz, 34, who died here Monday, at 7:30 p.m., from paralysis and a complication of diseases, were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 at the Lutheran church, and were conducted by Rev. J. T. Kraft, American Legion, members were pallbearers. They were Elmer Nimrod, Ivan Isaacson, Iver Velander, Arthur Bergren, Henry Peterson, Elmer Larson, Raymond Larson and Ernest Larson. Interment was in Mamre cemetery. Deceased was born in Stanton, Feb 5, 1894, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lantz. He was married at Nyman to Miss Nora Eklof and is survived by her and four children, Corrine, Octiavia, Charlotte and Levi. He also leaves five brothers, David, Gottfred, Arthur, Axel and Carl, and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Johnson and Mrs. Paul Anderson. His parents survive also. Mr. Lanzt followed the occupation of a farmer. He enlisted in the army during the world ward and was a member of the 26th Yankee division, A. E. F. Funeral services were in charge of the Ernie Johnson post of the American Legion.
