Final Rites Held For Ex-Resident At R. O. [Red Oak] Tuesday
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Perryman-Nelson chapel. Red Oak, for Carl L. Albertson of Red Oak, who died Friday in Council Bluffs hospital of complications following surgery. He had been ill two weeks. Edgar Willey of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Red Oak, officiated and burial was in Mamre cemetery, Stanton. Pallbearers were Floyd Jones, Glendon Anderson, Rex Grinhead, Ivan Brown, Elmer Rosander and Charles Lukehart. Carl L. Alberson was a native of Stanton, having been born there Feb 23, 1896, the son of Albert and Lena Albeneson. On May 27, 1929, he married Arminda Kidwell at Kansas City, Mo. A resident of Montgomery County all of his life, he has lived in Red Oak for the past 40 years where he has been employed by the Thomas D. Murphy Calendar Co.. Survivors, in addition to the widow, include: one daughter, Mrs. Dale Watt, Red Oak; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Lena Nelson, Stanton; three sisters, Mrs. Alta Shogren, Stanton, Mrs. Pearl Anderson, Carthage, N.D., and Mrs. Blanche Anderson, Macomb, Ill; and a brother, Carl Albenson, Stanton. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul.
