Mrs. Carl Weseen Rites Are Tuesday
Stanton – Funeral services for Mrs. Carl E. Weseen, 75, are Tuesday, June 4, at 2 p.m. at Mamrelund Lutheran Church here. She died at her Stanton home Sunday, June 2, of a heart attack. She had been in poor health over a year. The Rev. Francis Johnson will officiate and burial will be in Mamre Cemetery here. Arrangements are in charge of the Sellergren Service. Floral committee members are Mrs. Axel W. Anderson, Mrs. Elmer E. Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Lofgren. Music is by Mrs. E. B. Wigstone, vocalist, with Myron Lindgren at the organ. Bearers are Carl Lundstrom, Calvin Peterson, Lawrence Bergren, Earl Albinson, Axel W. Anderson, Anton Benson. E. B. Wigstone is in charge of the ushers.
Bertha Selina, daughter of Carl and Bertha Anderson, was born July 3, 1881, in Sweden and came to this country at the age of 11, going to Michigan. Three years later she came to Stanton. She was married in 1909 at Omaha to Carl Edward Weseen, who survives. She was a member of the Mamrelund Lutheran Church here. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Benskin and Miss Eunice, both of Stanton, Mrs. Elsie Bates of Elliott and Miss Alice, Omaha, eight grandchildren.
