Wigstone Rites Set At Stanton
Stanton – Funeral services for E. B. Wigstone, 86, former Stanton Mayor, will be Tuesday, June 29, at 2 p.m. at Mamrelund Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Lindstrom officiating. Arrangements are by Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home, Red Oak, burial will be in Mamre Cemetery. A lifetime resident of Stanton, Mr. Wigstone died Saturday, June 26, at Murphy Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, after a short illness. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wigstone, he was born July 6, 1889, at Stanton and was married in 1922 to Mabel Eliason, who survives. Also surviving are a son, James, Ames; daughter, Kathryn Wigstone, Red Oak; brother, Nathan, Red Oak. A retired insurance and real estate salesman, Mr. Wigstone was a World War I veteran. He was a member and former Board member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church and a member and Past Commander of Ernie Johnson Post No. 406 of The American Legion.
