MARIONVILLE

Funeral services for Dewey George Vanderhoof, 72, Route 3, Marionville, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bradford, Surridge Chapel with Ted Fowler officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Red Oak, Iowa, Junction (Greenfield) Cemetery.

Mr. Vanderhoof died at 10:40 p.m., Saturday in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, where he had been a patient for three days.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia; six sons, Allen, Fort Worth, Texas, Darwin, Robert, Dewey Jr., all of Marionville, Keith and Bill, both of Red Oak, Iowa; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Martinsen, Marionville, Mrs. Anna Mae Maples, Republic, Mrs. Colleen Sands, Red Oak, Iowa, Mrs. Joy Kite and Mrs. Phyllis Lane, both of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother Francis, Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Shaler and Mrs. Orma Carmichael, both of Des Moines; 37 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
