Raymond Funkhouser, 61

Memorial services are today at East Lawn Mortuary, Tucson, Ariz, for Raymond Funkhouser, 61, Tucson, formerly owner of the Family Shoe Store in Red Oak.

He died Sunday ( Aug. 9, 1987 ) of cancer.

Mr. Funkhouser was born Oct. 13, 1926, to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Funkhouser in Shenandoah. He and his wife, Dode, were married in Shenandoah before moving to Red Oak.

While in Red Oak, Mr. Funkhouser was active in the Red Oak Chamber of Commerce and served on the city council. He was an avid golfer and attended the Lutheran Church. He moved to Tucson in the late 1970s.

Survivors include his wife, Dode, daughter, Pamela Simpson of California, two sons, Dan and Clarke Funkhouser, both of Colorado, four grandchildren, four brothers, Paul Funkhouser of Farragut, Robert Funkhouser of Shenandoah, George Funkhouser of Greeley, Colo., Max Funkhouser of Tucson, four sisters, Marguerite Beeson of Shenandoah, Betty Livingston of Farragut, Marjory Maxwell of Waupun, Wis, Pauline Hultquist of Stanton.
