DIES AT HOME OF HIS SISTER

LeRoy Thurber, son of Mrs. and Mrs. W.J. Thurber, died Saturday afternoon at 3:10 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Geo. Spargur, in the southeast part of Villisca, his death resulting from infection of the spinal cord.

He was born in Camanche county, Oklahoma, on Oct. 2, 1900, and was 19 years old at the time of his death. He enlisted in the United States navy Aug. 15, 1918, and served until August 24, 1919.

On April 19, 1920, he was married to Miss Ruby Burnett. He leaves, besides his wife and parents, also four sisters, Mrs. Geo. Spargur, Mrs. Alex Newburg, Lena and Garnet Thurber; two brothers, Luther and James all of Villisca, and two brothers, Jesse and Eugene, Detroit, Minn.

The funeral was held at the Spargur home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. E.S. Mencher having charge of the service. Burial was in the Villisca cemetery.
