Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” October 29, 1891:

Mrs. Mary Wood, widow of Dobson Wood, died at Elliott, Ia., at 5 pm. Oct. 21, aged 84 years. The remains arrived in the city at 4:30 a.m. today. The funeral took place from the undertaking parlor of Harned & Sullivan, at 8:30 a.m. The deceased was among the early settlers of Wapello county and will be remembered by all of the old citizens.

(Note: Mary is buried in the Ottumwa Cemetery.)
