Funeral services for Dale L. Thomas, 70, Prescott, AZ.,were held at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott, AZ. Mr. Thomas died Sunday ( Jan. 24. 1999 ) at his home in Prescott.

He was born Jan. 7, 1999, in Elliott, IA. to James and Vera ( Graul ) Thomas. He served his country in the Navy for 3 1/2 years during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He worked as director of construction on high-rise buildings for C.D. Investments in Los Angeles. He was proud of his accomplishments in the construction field, from which he retired in 1980, after 30 years. On Jan. 21, 1949, he married Dorothy Schmidt. They had recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversay. They moved to Prescott, AZ., from Nixa, MO., in the spring of 1994. He enjoyed andy outside activity, but especially camping and hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his only son, Ricky Dale Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Mae Thomas of Prescott, Az., sisters, Dorothy Hatfield of Malvern, IA., Lola Lewis of Westminster, CO., and Ruth Divis of Omaha, NE., and a brother, Eugene Thomas of Wheatridge, CO.
