March 23, 1999Funeral services for Matthew Jon McCalmont, 16, Glenwood, formerly of Red Oak, are pending at Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. Matthew died in Minneapolis, MN.
He was born Jan. 1, 1983, in Red Oak to Michael J. and Beverly ( Perdue ) McCalmont. He was a 10th grade student at Glenwood High School.
He was preceded in death his maternal grndfather, Stan Perdue and a brother, Bruce.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Beverly McCalmont of Glenwood, brother, Tom McCalmont of Sioux City, two sisters, Teresa Matson of Minneapolis, MN. and kelly Ladwig of Mt. Pleasant, maternal grandmother,Audrey Perdue of Red Oak, paternal grandparents, Juanita Carstens of Sioux City and Melvin McCalmont of Yountville, CA.
