January 1, 2008Funeral services for Blanche " Granny " E. Pierson, 99, Kansas were Thursday, Dec. 27, at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita, KS. Mrs. Pierson died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007.
She was born Sept. 10, 1908 near Bethesda ( Iowa ) to Edward R. and Hilda J. ( Carlson ) Wallin. She married Rolland T. Pierson May 10, 1929 and he died Jan. 19, 1973.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her only child, Roe Jean Alamo, her husband, Frank Alamo, two sisters, Helen Lendell and Edna V. Nelson, two brothers, Duane Wallin and Glen Wallin, and two grandchildren.
Survivors jnclude her grandchildren, Rolland Alamo and his wife, Susan at derby, Christina Benny of Oklahoma City, Michael Alamo and his wife Jan of Ridgecrest, CA. , 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
