WILLIAM A. WESTOVER DIED TUESDAY
Services Will Be Held in Grant Friday.

William A. Westover, 64, brother of Mrs. W.A. Focht, of Red Oak, and a tenant on the Wm. Gardener ranch two miles southwest of Grant, died at his homes Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock from heart trouble. Mr. Westover had been in ill health for the past year and a half. His late illness confined him to his bed since Friday, August 21.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the home at 2 o'clock and at the Methodist Church in Grant at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. Breeding, of Lewis, a former pastor of the Grant Church. Serving as pallbearers will be George W. Stinemates, A.C. Stinemates, Fred Kenworthy, Earl Coucier, Ralph Gridley, and Jake Miller, of Grant and vicinity. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery. William A. Westover was born in Austin, MN, June 3, 1872, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Westover. He came with his parents to Iowa in 1890, locating in northeastern Montgomery County. August 4, 1902, he was married at Red Oak to Mirtle Copeland. Shortly after their marriage they located on the Wm. Gardner ranch near Grant which has been their home for the past 33 years. Mr. Westover was a member of the Church of Christ.

Besides his widow, Mrs. Mirtle Westover, he is survived by two sons and five daughters. They are Fred Westover and William Westover Jr. living near Grant; Mrs. Albert Adams, of Elliott; Mrs. George Courcier, of Grant; Mrs. Goldie Weston, of Grant; Mrs. Harry Weston of Jefferson, Oregon; and Mrs. Ted Weston, of Grant, and 24 grandchildren. Two children are deceased. He is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. William A. Focht, of Red Oak; Mrs. Anna Disdrow, of Rydgate, Montana and Edward Westover, of Waukau, Wisconsin.
