INJURIES PROVED FATAL.

Eugene E. Durham, who fell under the wheels of a hand car while returning from his work last Tuesday evening, as recorded in last week’s REVIEW, succumbed to the grim monster of death as a result of the accident at seven o’clock Monday morning, never regaining consciousness. The deceased was born in Ellisburg, Jefferson County, New York, April 28, 1867 and at the time of his demise was thirty-six years and thirteen days of age. He came to Montgomery County about twenty-eight years ago and has resided in Villisca and vicinity since that time with the exception of a short time spent in the west. He was married to Elta J. Hamilton at Blue Hill, Mitchell County, Kansas, September 6, 1893, and to this union four children have been born: Charles, Orville, Gladys and Bessie, the latter being only six months old. Aside from his wife and children, he leaves a father, one sister, Mrs. Alice Anderson, and three brothers, Myron, Ernest and Frank, the latter residing in Washington, but the others in Villisca. The funeral was under the auspices of the I. O. O. F., of which order deceased was an honored member, and was from the Presbyterian Church at 2:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon, Rev. S. M. Perkins officiating. Interment was in the Villisca cemetery. The members of the family are thankful for the kindnesses of the Odd Fellows and other friends. The deceased was a good neighbor, a dutiful son, a kind father and an affectionate husband, and the family has the sincere sympathy of all friends in this hour of their great grief.
