Services for Ivan Benskin, 77, Red Oak, will be held at 2 p.m. today from Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home, the Rev. Byron (Pac) Paxton officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Masonic services were conducted Sunday evening at the funeral home by Red Oak Lodge No. 162 AF & AM.

Mr. Benskin was born March 6, 1905, in Atwood, Ill., to Joseph and Emma Benskin and died Friday at Montgomery County memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was taken to the hospital by Red Oak Fire Department Rescue Unit at 4:14 a.m. Friday.

On Sept. 2, 1925, he married Laura Witmeyer in Chillicothe, Mo. She survives .

He lived most of his life in Red Oak and was a retired farmer and truck driver at the time of his death. Since 1970, he and his wife, Laura, had helped run Jim's Norge Laundry.

He was a member of First Christian Church and Union Lodge No. 176 IOOF and Red Oak Lodge No. 162 AF & AM.

Survivors include two sons, Oral Dean of Republic, Mo. and David Lloyd of Waterloo; a brother, Chester Benskin of Stanton; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
