In Loving Memory of Guy Russell Baker

Guy Russell Baker, the son of James and Rachel Russell Baker was born May 11, 1884 at Villisca, Iowa. He passed away at the Burdick West Hospital in Haleyville, Alabama on February 12, 1982 at the age of 97 years, 9 months and 1 day.

He was united in marriage to Bessie Johnson on May 5, 1910 in Red Oak, Iowa. He lived most of his life in Red Oak and the past four years he has made his home with two sons, Harry in Haleyville, Alabama and Paul in Nebraska City, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife on May 16, 1970, 2 sons Everett and Colwell and 2 daughters, Virginia and Ruth.

Guy is survived by 5 sons: Arthur of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Paul of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Robert of Idabel, Oklahoma, Harry of Haleyville, Alabama, and James of Omaha, Nebraska. Two daughters: Elizabeth - Mrs. Gilbert Brenning of Red Oak and Rachel - MRs. Darrell Merk of Wallace, Michigan, also by 28 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, 1 great great great granddaughter and by other relatives and friends.
