Services Will Be Held Tuesday for Caroline McGimsey
Caroline McGimsey, 93, died Sunday night at 11 o'clock at the home of her son, Al McGimsey, 207 Second Avenue, from complications due to her advanced years. She had been ill for the past three weeks.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Perryman Funeral Chapel in charge of Rev. F. W. Simpeon, of the Methodist church, of which the deseased was a member. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Caroline McGimsey was born in the state of Missouri, May 13, 1840, the daughter of William and Jane Comer. In the year 1860 she was married in the state of Indiana to Francis McGimsey. From Indiana they moved to Walnut, Iowa, and later to Marion. In 1932 Mrs. McGimsey came to Red Oak to spend her remaining days with her son.
She is survived by one son, Al McGimsey, of Red Oak, four sons and one daughter having preceded her in death. They are Charles, Melville Grant, Jennie, Fred, and Samuel McGimsey.
