1940 obituary: Retired Farmer's Funeral Tueday; Mark Richardson Died Sunday at Age of 79

Funeral services for Mark Richardson, 79, a retired farmer, who succumbed Sunday afternoon to complications of age at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L.H. Eggers, will be held at the Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Dr. O.W. Morro will conduct the services. Music will be arranged by Mrs. Grace Logan and organist will be Mrs. Ray Cozal.

The pallbearers will be Carl Barr, Harrison Petty and Dave Sundquist of Elliott, W.R., Bishop, Harry Finley and John Westerlund. Floral committee members are Miss Julia Knittle, Mrs. Earl. P. Hillipand and Mrs. J.P. Wolf.

Native of Missouri

A Native of Missouri, Mr. Richardson came to Clarke County, Iowa, when a child, later moved to Mills County, south of Emerson, and two years later came to Montgomery County. He was a son of William and Lucinda Richardson. In September, 1886, he was married at Osceola, Ia., to Jennie Banscoy, who died in July, 1929.

Survivors include Mrs. G.L. West of Red Oak, Mrs. Carl Rockwell of Stanton, Mrs. Eggers and Russell Richardson of LaMesa, Ariz., nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The Perryman service is in charge. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery.
