Services for Virginia I. Breese, 74, Red Oak, were Monday at Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home, Red Oak, with the Rev. John Swenson officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak. She died Thursday (Jan. 26, 1989) at Nebraska Methodist Hospital, Omaha, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Breese was born March 21, 1914, in Creston to Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson. She married George L. Breese on Oct. 8, 1938, in Red Oak.

She had lived in Red Oak all of her life and worked as a bookkeeper for R. K. Bell for 25 years.

She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Winston Johnson of Red Oak and Donald R. Johnson of Salinas, California; one sister, Helen Ferguson of Boulder City, Nevada; nieces and nephews.
