ANOTHER OLD SOLDIER GONE
Comrade Charles Gott died at his home in Foster on last Friday, Of Jaundice and Liver trouble. His remains were brought to Albia and interred in Oak View Cemetary on Saturday afternoon. A considerable number of old soldiers attended the funeral. Comrade Gott was a member of the 3rd Illinois Battery, and is credited with four years Army service. He was 63 years old on July 20 last. He was married 3 times, his 3rd wife and nine children survive him. He was born in County Durham, England, and came to this country in 1856.
