Died
Melrose

Mrs. Bridget Hoyes Donahue, of infirmities incident to the aged at the home of her son, James S. Donahue in Melrose, Iowa August 11, 1910.

The deceased was born in county Limerick, Ireland August 15, 1844. Like so many of the world's most notable women, with the courage to dare and do and win, she decided to leave her native land and its dear ones there and make a home in this country. So she braved old ocean and came to Galesburg, Illinois arriving in the year 1864. There she intered - married with Mr. Patrick Donahue who preceded her in death about three years ago.

Their family consisted of four children, one daughter and three sons, Margaret died unmarried, Andrew, Connie,  and James S.,  the youngest.

Mrs. Donahue was a lady whose Christian virtues endeared her to all her many relatives and friends and neighbors. And these same virtues enabled her to bear her cross with that rare fortitude and resignation which transforms the thought of death to deathless joy.

As a wife, mother, neighbor, friend she richly merited and had the love, respect, and regard of all who knew her.

The constant and devoted ministrations of her youngest son, James  ( NEWSPAPER DAMAGED AND REMAINDER OF OBITUARY NOT LEGIBLE)
