Debra A. Foster, age 54, of Albia, Iowa died Wednesday morning March 22, 2006 at her home in Albia. She was born January 9, 1952 in Knoxville, Iowa to Mike and Wanda Marie (Dorman) Sulentich, Sr.

She graduated as a Registered Nurse from Marshalltown Community College on May 26, 1984. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia and also active with Senior Citizens. Her heartfelt joy was in helping people especially the elderly and made that her lifetime career. Her greatest pastime was a hobby called "shopping."

Debra is survived by a son, Chris Foster and companion Mika DeGoey of Albia; 3 grandchildren, Chris, Julian and Coby Foster who were the sunshine of her life. Also surviving is her lifelong companion, Tom Laughhead of Albia; 2 sisters, Helen Simmons of Albia and Brenda Kamerick of Knoxville; and one brother, Mike Sulentich of Albia; 11 nieces and nephews, 4 great nieces and nephews, and several close friends. Debra was previously married and has remained lifelong friends with Terry Foster of Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Julian and Lela Dorman, John and Kata Sulentich; her parents, Mike and Wanda Sulentich, one sister, Rita Schlotterback; and a great niece, Kaylea Maddy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 25, 2006 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia with Rev. William Walter, C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Albia, Iowa.

Visitation will open after 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 24 at the Winfield Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 P.M. A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Ronald McDonald Foundation or to the Senior Citizens Leisure Lounge of Albia.
