James F. Salato

James F. Salato, 43, of Knoxville, formerly of Albia, died Friday, Feb. 14, 1997, in Knoxville. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia, the Thomas Doyle officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

He was born June 3, 1953, in Ottumwa to Félix Salato and Mary Karpan Salato. He was an Albia High School graduate. He was a car dealer for Devore Motors in Knoxville.

He is survived by a brother, Joe Salato of Eddyville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest in 1977.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gilbert-Nordstrom Funeral Homes, South Chapel. A wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery.
