Félix J. Salato, 91, of Albia, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia, Rev. William Walter officiating. Burial with military rites was at St. Mary's Cemetery in Albia.

He was born Nov. 25, 1911 to Frank and Minnie Ronchetti Salato in Hiteman. He married Mary Karpan Aug. 7, 1948 in Weller. He and his wife farmed together for many years. He was a veteran of WWII with the Army Air Force serving European Theater.

He is survived by nieces, nephews and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; three sons, Ernest, James and Joseph Salato; two brothers, John and Joe Salato; and one sister, Lucille Paulson.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery. Gilbert-Boman Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.
