Mary Lahart

Mary E. Lahart, 89, of Albia died Oct. 23, 1990, at Monroe County Hospital in Albia. Services were held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Georgetown, the Rev. Mark Swanson officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Georgetown.

She was born June 15, 1901, near Melrose to Michael and Annie Scieszinski Judge. She had farmed most of her life with her husband in the Georgetown area, before moving to Albia about 10 years ago. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Georgetown and Altar and Rosary Society. She married Edward W. Lahart June 23, 1924 at Melrose. He died Sept. 10, 1983.

She is survived by three sons, Walter of Lacrosse, Wis., Joe and Ray, both of Albia; two daughters, Mary Flattery of Newton and Teresa Lahart of Albia; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Judge of Albia and Mike Judge of Ottumwa; and two sisters, Ann Feehan of Ottumwa and Agnes Dawley of New Sharon.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; three brothers; and one sister.

Memorials may be made to her church.
