OBITUARY
MRS. WM. MULLEN

Mrs. Wm. Mullen, of this city, passed away at her home near the depot on Friday morning, November 18, 1910, about six o'clock, after an illness of several years duration with dropsy and paralysis, but she had only been confined to her bed for about six weeks.

Largely attended funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church on Monday morning at ten o'clock, and mass was celebrated by Rev. Father McGillin, after which the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Calvary cemetery.

Margaret McKillip was born at Frostburg, Maryland, on March 18, 1855. She was married to William Turner, who died a few years later. One son by this marriage, Clarence Turner, is living in this city.

Deceased was again married on Nov. 4, 1882, to Wm. Mullen, who survives her. To this union six children were born, three of whom are living and all reside in Chariton. They are Mrs. Alice Buffington, James and Margaret Mullen. Two brothers and two sisters are also living, James and W. J. McKillip, of Melrose, Mrs. A. H. Potts, of Chariton, Mrs. A. Ciskey, of St. Paul, Kansas.

Mrs. Mullen, with her family came to Chariton about twenty-eight years ago and this place has since been her home. She had been a devout and faithful member of the Catholic church for many years. During her long residence here she had made many friends who will learn of her death with deep regret.
