DEATH CALLS GOOD CITIZEN

William P. Judge, Prominent Monroe County Farmer, Reached Untimely Ending

All Monroe county was startled and saddened when news was circulated of the death of Wm. P. Judge of Georgetown, last Wednesday evening, after a few days sickness, commencing with tonsillitis and developing into complications such as expert medical science and best of cure was unable to overcome.

Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church, Georgetown, Saturday morning, attended by a large concourse of neighbors and friends.

Deceased was 60 years of age, a prosperous farmer, a widely respected neighbor and citizen and was at one time a Monroe county supervisor on the board when the court house was built.

He is survived by a sorrowing wife and three children, William, Helen and Patricius, brothers John and Joe, a sister, Mrs. Jas. J. Flattery and many other relatives and friends.

Born and reared and continuously living in the vicinity of Georgetown, where he died, “Bill” Judge was one of the leading and respected citizens of the county. He was public spirited, neighborly, energetic and honorable. As a public servant no intimation of crookedness was ever attached to his name or dealings. The passing of men like him is a distinct loss to the community.

Mr. Judge was a member of the county board of education, which he held since the law providing for it was put into effect about twelve years ago.
