Catherine Lucille O’Connor, the daughter of John and Catherine O'Connor, was born Sept. 26, 1868, at Galesburg, Ill., and died Feb. 15, 1963, at the O'Donnell Nursing Home in Russell.
At the age of seven she moved with her parents to the Georgetown community where she spent the rest of her life.
On Nov. 6, 1891, she was married to Frank J. Sinnott, who preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1951.
She was the last survivor of her family of 13 children. Also preceding her in death were two sons, James and Steven.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Marie Lee of Melrose, Mrs,. Teresa Coleman of Melrose and Mrs. Margaret Proske of Aurora, Ill., two sons, Leo Sinnott of Albia and Francis Sinnott of Georgetown, eight grandchildren, and 50 great - grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 9 a.m. Feb. 18 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Georgetown with her grandson, the Rev. Father Paul Coleman of Ft. Madison, officiating at the Solemn High Mass, assisted by the Rev. Father Charles Gannon of Georgetown and the Rev. Father John Hebenstreit of Weller. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery at Georgetown.
